Cottonwood Creek is a regular school open to the public. This is one of 13 Unified School District schools in Dublin. Cottonwood Creek has 988 students enrolled in KN-08 classes.

Cottonwood Creek School Improvement Program started several years ago. The dimension of architecture was enhanced by replicating some of Amador Elementary School’s designs-the first primary school constructed with multiple floors. Second, due to a K-8 configuration, the system room has been extended, as Cottonwood would be about 20 percent larger than Amador. The school district grows along with it as Dublin continues to grow. But Cottonwood Creek is not going to be any ordinary school.

Emphasizing the delivery of superior technology requirements, concentrating across all grades on a high degree of integration of science, technology and music, this growing school provides its students with prestigious academic facilities, while offering a beautiful campus too. Installed on the Cottonwood Campus, Versa Canopies provided required shade structures throughout the entire site. Cottonwood Creek is a brand new campus, and the Versa Canopies were a vital component of all modular design in the schools.

The Unified School District in Dublin opened its twelfth campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday 11 August. Tours were provided at the new campus. Work on the school began in October 2016. It is at 2400 Central Parkway. On 14 August, the first day of class, Cottonwood Creek K-8 accepted students. The speakers included the Mayor of Dublin, David Haubert and the Unified Superintendent of Dublin, Leslie Boozer. 

The school has 803 students with 636 primary and 167 middle school grades enrolled. There are 34 rooms with a total population of 58. The District broke from the practice of naming schools after individuals and named them for a nearby creek, Cottonwood Creek, to recognize the school’s beautiful environment while honoring local animals as the “Coyotes” school mascot. Principal Joyce Gibson was enrolled to lead the site of this school to its new horizon. As a graduate of Kolb Elementary School, it seems that Ms. Gibson is a well-trained principal for a new school to launch. She was able to share the stage with other DUSD Representatives, members of the City of Dublin Council and other noted guests.

This school handles homework effectively. Only enough to ensure children are revising their studies at home and enough to include their parents. Teachers are successful at this school. They consider the strengths & limitations of the students and prepare the approach accordingly. This school handles homework effectively, it is balanced and gives ample rigor to match age.
